WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ENGINEERING INTERN AND A BUSINESS INTERN?

Internships are open to both technical and non-technical candidates currently enrolled at a university. For business operations, internship candidates may also be within six months of graduation from university by start of employment or currently enrolled in a graduate program. Engineering interns play significant roles in the design of global projects. Similarly, business operations interns are crucial to achieving TGEC’s core business goals. From time to time, internships in non-engineering and non-business roles are available, and exceptions can be made regarding university enrollment. For a current list of available positions, please see https://tokyo-global.co.jp/positions/

Non-intern engineer positions are open to engineering graduates who have completed a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree from an accredited four-year university or college within the past six months by start of employment or who are currently enrolled in a graduate program. Engineers are responsible for both autonomously and collaboratively working on global engineering projects.

In both internship and engineer positions, one obtains invaluable, authentic experience that one can’t obtain in a classroom. The most successful candidates for TGEC’s internship program have a history of significant contributions to hands-on extracurricular projects in addition to a strong academic record. This is not an ordinary “internship”; interns are given as much autonomy as engineers and are an integral part of the team.
